Live Blog: The I AM Foundation in Pokhara, Nepal

Greetings, I AM Foundation friends and fans, from POKHARA, NEPAL!

As one of the Foundation’s most committed supporters, I always find a way to share the I AM! Affirmation books wherever my travels take me!  This time, I am in Nepal conducting independent research and working with The Didi Project, a community education nonprofit seeking to educate communities and prevent trafficking of girls and young women.

I have brought copies of The I AM! Affirmation Book with me to share with a children’s rescue center at EWN, Empowering Women of Nepal, an NGO in Pokhara, on Lake Phewatal, at the base of the Himalayas.   There are 22 girl children here, some of whom have been rescued from forced domestic servitude, and some who are from families where they simply could not support them.  My friend Helen Gurung and I will be visiting them at 4pm today to share the power of the I AM! affirmations and build their sense of confidence, freedom, and self worth. Our initial visit yesterday was a two hour meeting with the nine 9th graders, pictured below. We are looking forward to sharing The I AM! Affirmations with all the children later today.
