Craig Chaquico Plays In Concert to Benefit The I AM Foundation

Thank you to Acclaimed Former Jefferson Starship Guitarist & Smooth Jazz Hit Artist, Craig Chaquico, for being The I AM Foundation’s National Spokesperson for over ten years. The I AM Foundation is now working with Faye Behrens and The Cottage Inn & Spa to bring Craig to Sonoma, California for a Benefit Concert.  More details to follow soon on The I AM Foundation’s Facebook Page!

Since 2001, Craig Chaquico has helped The I AM Foundation to gift over 1.1 million books and products to children and adults around the United States and the globe. The I AM! Affirmation Book is a very cool book to help kids with literacy and self-esteem. I’m proud to be a part of something that supports the children of the world.  And that is what The I AM Foundation does. ” says Craig.

“Craig has performed benefit concerts that supported our national and international book gifting missions. We are grateful to Craig for this long-term partnership.” states I AM Foundation Founder, Steve Viglione

In 2002, Craig appeared on NBC San Diego with I AM Foundation Founder Steve Viglione, as seen here in this photo.

Craig has engaged and inspired two generations of pop music fans, first as a founding member,  lead guitarist, and a prolific principle song writer for the multi-platinum Jefferson Starship/ Starship  – ’70s, ’80s, ’90. While others came and went Craig is the only person in the band to appear on EVERY recording, tour, MTV video, album, CD, and hit song during that time.

With 20 Gold records combined between Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship, Craig was instrumental in making that combination one of the most successful bands in history.

In the 1990s,  after finding himself at the top of the national charts in each of 3 consecutive decades with his first band, Craig left the fast-paced pop world and reinvented himself as an award winning, #1, GRAMMY nominated,  million selling solo artist,  songwriter, producer, and band leader, #1 in Billboard for his CDs and songs, GuitarPlayer Magazine Readers’ Poll Winner for Best Pop Instrumental Guitarist,   Jazz Iz Magazine list of Top 100 Most Influential Guitarists of All Time,  again at the top of the national charts in a fourth decade and a new millennium with #1 Cafe Carnival, #1 Luminosa,  and now a fifth decade with Songbird in the Top 3  in Billboard and Smooth Jazz Radio.

As Craig likes to say,  “….probably the most famous guitarist that nobody has ever heard of and that they probably couldn’t pronounce the name even if they had,  but everybody still hears on the radio after being at the top of the charts for 5 consecutive decades now, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, ’00s, ’10s.  Nobody is more surprised than I am about that or more grateful”
