Dr. Marilyn Powers and Steve Viglione based on the book
The Bridge speaks about two curriculums; the one we all received at birth from our parents, education, religion and culture. Some of us have succeeded with that curriculum while others have rebelled and many have not gained the fulfillment they expected.
The second curriculum is for us to create. It comes from within us. It speaks to our calling and our mission and purpose in the world.
The Bridge offers a seven-stage map. The first three stages are:
1. Enlightenment through pain
2. Developing a positive self-concept
3. Manifesting what you want
Stages 5, 6 and 7 are:
5. Mission and Purpose
6. Asking the Big Questions
7. Union with Source
Stage 4: The Impasse between past and future is The Bridge. This is where we ask the questions, where am I? Where have I come from and most importantly, where am I going? There are four tasks in stage four:
1. Clearing out the museum of resentments and regrets
2. Embracing the shadow
3. Letting go of what no longer serves you
4. Expanding your visionary powers
At a Bridge Workshop, we assess where we are and what our work is so we can be empowered to make the changes to move forward positively in our life. To do this, we do the work to redefine our life and purpose.
More questions to contemplate about The Bridge:
Are you at an impasse in your life, where the past no longer works for you and the future is uncertain? Do you have more questions than answers? Have you recently experienced a profound ending of a relationship, a career or a belief system? Are you questioning the meaning and purpose of your life? If you answered yes, to any of these questions, then you are empowered to make dynamic change and The Bridge is the map to move you forward!
